Bah, my account is suspended for an hour because the researcher indicated that their research would need about 38 minutes. I took my time doing it and it only took 6 minutes. I'm familiar with this researcher's studies, they pay, they're for french speakers but didn't have a reason to complain until today.

I just hope that my account won't be affected because of this or if something like this keeps happening. The problem is that it's the researcher's fault.

I see similar cases when the study is just about taking an appointment for an interview but the study time is set to how much the actual interview would be which makes you obliged to wait until the time is adjusted or at least 10 minutes so you won't get your account suspended. Not sure if suspension can get lifted early with the researcher's help though.

Prolific says that you don't need to refresh but that's simply not true. The page refresh automatically every few minutes but studies come and go in a matter of seconds. Just recently I opened my phone to find a study that was exclusive on PC, I looked at the PC screen and found nothing, so I had to manually refresh to see the study. The official extension of prolific caught the study about 10 seconds after that I've started, so I feel like it's a good practice to manually refresh from time to time. The question is how often is good enough? By good enough I mean just enough not to get your account suspended for suspicious behaviour or get you the famous 429 but still allows you to be well updated.

Hello, I use prolific's official extension on my pc to get the notifications even when I'm not on my browser, but I was wondering if there is something similar to get notified on my phone when I'm not using my pc? Like a prolific app or something.

I read lots of posts about people's IPs getting banned and how they now have to use mobile data or change providers in order to solve the problem, but I'm not sure how do you know whether your IP is banned or not?
