I(m60) feel a bit vulnerable. A couple years back I had an episode of acute colitis or diverticulitis. It was described 2 different ways in the documentation. My labs were a bit wacky then after hours of severe pain, nausea and vomiting. I was given a round of antibiotics. A month back I realized I had foamy urine. Not sure how long it has been going on. I immediately did a physical. Here are my lab results:
Microalbumin - 12 random urine
Creatinine - 365 random urine
Microalbumin/Creatinine ration(3), random urine
vit d 92.5
cbc normal except rbc & platelet count slightly below norm
ua with reflex normal except traces of protein and ketones
TSH, B12, INSULIN (11.6) all normal
CMP all normal including egfr moved from 90 to 92
LIPID PANEL all normal
HGBA1C 5.3 down from 5.6
I shared a lot of information on my first visit to my new pcp. Ketones may be there because I switched to a low carb/low sugar diet. My only instructions from the pcp are to drink more water and we will monitor the serum platelets and monitor urine protein. I want to find out why the urine is foamy/bubbly and address it. Are there additional test that need to be ran? I did fail to request a crp and other test to check for inflammation. Please let me know what you think. (Be gentle. I plant review labs from the colitis episode for comparison.)
