Wedding Planner - OA ba or should we let go na?
Hi everyone b2b here. For context, our wedding is Oct 2026. We booked our planner (full) last March 31. We paid downpayment already to get services started next day. Nung wedding fair okay naman sya kausap and nung initial meeting namin before we booked pero as time went on, we felt like she was not taking care of us in the way na expected for a couple that paid for full wedding planning & coordination.
May mga instances na may time-sensitive deadlines kami tapos hindi sya nagrereply ASAP, but we needed a response kasi we were locking in rates dapat for a caterer na mageexpire yung promo within the week.
Kami rin nakahanap ng stylist and caterer we eventually booked. Another supplier of ours din yung nagprovide ng mga contacts for food cart na we ended up booking. Yung only thing na provide nya was a quote from a caterer na half na ng buong wedding budget sa mahal.
Then yung pet peeve ko pa is no acknowledgment when we text - wala manlang will get back to you or at an event. Di lang magrereply ng 2-3 days tapos magrereply bigla and no explanation bakit delayed yung response nya.
Tapos we just received the contract and then biglang may fee for “ocular visit” and other things we did not discuss. We haven’t signed it kasi di naman to kasama sa pinagusapan. Not even mentioned via text nung naguusap kami about ocular sa venue.
Ask ko lang if this is normal kasi 6+ mos pa yung wedding? Di ko lang alam if same ba to sa industry kasi focus sila sa couples getting married sooner or what. What should we expect ba from full planning?
My gut is telling me to let go na and find someone else. Or OA lang ba ako and normal talaga to sa industry?
