I've seen plenty of pictures of Convoy mule builds and I wonder if somebody can break down for me how these work. From what I understand you need a spacer so the lens is pushed against the bezel without a reflector / optic. And for a mule you'd want the MCPCB closer to the lens, so you'd pick a pill light and just screw then pill in deeper, I assume? Do you need to install different springs now that the battery compartment is a bit larger? Where do you get the spacer, metal work, 3D printing? Just wondering if there's an easy way for me to build a cheap Convoy mule with a nice high CRI emitter. Maybe an S2+ B35AM or something like that.
