Side effects of hydrocortisone : I’m new
Hello, I’m very new to this. I just started hydrocortisone after trying to get off prednisone after yrs of treatment. Between what I think is pred withdrawal and possible side effects from the hydrocortisone pills I’m so miserable. I itch so bad on my ankles and wrists after I take it, I also get really bad restless leg syndrome symptoms (all over not just legs). I’ll jerk really hard and I noticed my muscles ache really bad in my legs. I just feel awful. Idk if it’s this medication or what but it’s making me mentally very depressed. I’m taking 10mg 2x a day. I had tapered my prednisone to 7.5 mg a day prior to starting this.
The ONLY benefit I see is I’m not retaining as much fluid as I was on the prednisone. Any feedback would be appreciated, I feel like I’m going crazy.
