Watching Yargı Episode 84...

So Yılgaz and İclal are talking inside the interrogation room while Ceylin is watching from outside. Out of curiosity, anybody with even minimal intelligence would know that an interrogation room would be the last place to discuss personal stuff. But apparently, the most brilliant prosecutor in Istanbul didn't know that.? 😂😂😂

Siyah Beyaz Aşk (2017) is overrated

Siyah Beyaz Aşk (2017) is one of the most overrated Turkish dramas I've watched.

It has almost no meaningful character development, questionable logic, characters constantly acting out of character, abandoned storylines, forgotten supporting characters, and countless plot holes.

Hercai is far superior in comparison. Despite its flaws, it has a coherent story, stronger character development, and several standout performances—yet its IMDb rating is significantly lower.

This is another reminder that IMDb ratings don't always reflect the actual quality of a show's writing. Even Veliaht, with all its limitations, feels far more cohesive and better written than Siyah Beyaz Aşk.

I'm completely fine with toxic love stories, but they still need to be grounded in believable character motivations and internal logic. Aslı is supposed to be a highly educated doctor, yet she often behaves like an impulsive teenager.

Near the end, Gülsum suddenly spends several episodes hating her brother, creating unnecessary drama. Then, almost immediately, she reconciles with him, even though the very reason for her anger still exists. That's just one example of the inconsistent writing.

The performance by the actress who played Ebru was, in my opinion, one of the weakest in the series.

I know I'm watching a Turkish drama, so I don't expect perfection. But considering all the praise this series receives, I genuinely expected something much better.

That said, I enjoyed a few things though. I really enjoyed Aslı's sharp, witty dialogue throughout the series. The entire sequence where Aslı and Ferhat stay in the stone house was really good and heartwarming ( the one where Asli says kind of "Let's never leave this place."). I also thought the final episode was satisfying.
