Hello

We are going to Rome for the first time in December, Christmas week in fact. Has anyone else been to Rome at this time of year and can tell us about their experience?

We have done a great amount of googling and flipping through guide books, but of course everything is geared towards the busy summer season.

We are mostly looking for advice on whether or not a tourist 'skip the queue' pass it worth it, and what things can we do on Christmas Eve/Day when most attractions are closed - including where we can eat as our hotel is room only with no restaurant.

Any other winter/December specific hints and tips would also be welcome.

Thank you!
