My shut from hot DW feed at sink is stuck open from hardwater. Rather than changing the stuck shut , I would like to put a brasscraft 1/4 turn shut at end of compression right before going into dishwasher. There currently is a 3/8 compression nut going to a 1/2" fitting going into DW. Can I re use the existing Compression nut to the new shut then use a braided hose to the DW.
