Hey guys (I’m the tenant), quick question, I’ve only just received an email to say that there is an inspection for the property I currently reside in, in 4 days time.
The property is in relatively good order nothing I’m concerned about however I thought the agent would need to provide 30 days notice not 4? I’ve already got an extremely booked up week and honestly it’s just inconvenient.
The email is allegedly a email reminder (although upon searching my emails extensively there isn’t a single email to announce it occurring, so therefore it couldn’t be an email reminder if there was no original announcement) and they’ve stated if we ask to change it then we will have to pay £25 plus VAT to rearrange.
Just seems a bit weird, I’m certain last year they gave me 30 days notice (I actually recall them phoning me and we booking together) and then gave me a reminder a few days before. I thought they had to provide 30 days notice? Just a bit confused seems very rushed just asking if this is the normal or if I should email back and say there was no original notice and to please rearrange it for x (I can do following week just this week is very chaotic already)
