SCOTUS just made a landmark ruling that geofencing is considered a search under the 4th amendment, and therefore cannot be used to whittle down people to a specific suspect. They specifically said that it was the retroactive ability to trace someone's movements that constituted the search. It would be really cool to have a legal expert on to explore the implications of this and how it might affect things like Flock cameras and the government's ability to purchase this data from private companies. I would personally recommend BrynoDC on YouTube, as he already does this sort of stuff and could definitely use the exposure.
