Basically, my lil sis is taking N-levels in a few months and I need advice on how she can adequately review all her content before D-Day… I’ve already bought her TYS (Topical) packages for her sciences and mathematics and she reviews them every time she has a weighted assessment + during curriculum, but I still feel like there are gaps in her knowledge and the way I’m telling her to review may not address them. For example, in bio, she can memorise super well but can’t interpret data or draw links between data and her knowledge, so a ton of application questions are super hard for her, even though she reviews explanations on her TYS answer sheet. Same for chem. And I’ve trained her on how to write better for English, but her comprehension is still not that strong…
I’m basically teaching her to study the way I study, which is to do practise questions and review mistakes, and I do tutor her on hard questions, but I think the key issue lies in her foundation + dedication to each subject. She’s very smart and I know she can do well, but I’m so worried that there’s too much content for her to revise thoroughly, nevermind all those application questions. She can score 80s for technical subjects (math) but her humanities and sciences are quite hit-or-miss (50-70s)
Like should I make a bulletin on subjects she should study per day? Do I make her redo TYS / past worksheets? She’s very carefree and doesn’t like when people tell her to do too many things, so hammering stuff into her is often met w resistance.
Please, if there’s anybody who’s finished secondary school or did well / improved a LOT for n-levels / o-levels, I would really appreciate some advice on how to guide her thanks 😭😭🙏💔💔
