The Mist(preference as to the movie or book?)

If you watched 2007s ‘The Mist’, a movie based on Stephen King’s short story by the same title, you may be surprised to learn that they changed the ending for the movie(for Stephen King adaptations, this is practically every film) A lot of people complained about the movie’s end, as it drags the suspense off a cliff, but I always liked it. I like it even more after reading the short story, wherein the ending Stephen King originally wrote doesn’t suit the suspense and shock value of this violent thriller. I’d say the film is more entertaining than the short story for these reasons, but reading 178pages isn’t something I’d regret as time wasting. It’s interesting to have a different outcome to the film I first watched nearly 20 years ago.
