What would make a diaspora community actually useful for you?
Not just another group that becomes inactive, what kind of conversations, information or support would genuinely help you?

For many Cameroonians in the diaspora, staying connected to home is more than just calling family or sending money. It often involves trying to understand what is happening on the ground, finding reliable people to work with, supporting small projects or even exploring opportunities from a distance.
At the same time, distance creates real challenges. Trust can be difficult. Information is sometimes unclear. Shipping, payments and follow up are not always straightforward. Many people want to help or build something meaningful but they are not sure where to start or who to rely on.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately and wanted to hear from others.
Whether you are supporting family from abroad, trying to start or grow something linked to Cameroon or simply want to stay informed, what has your experience been like?
What has worked for you and what challenges do you still face?
Has anyone noticed any recent changes in the cost of basic things in Yaoundé?
Just curious about what people are experiencing day to day.

Through family, WhatsApp groups or other means?
Just checking how people in the diaspora are currently managing business with home. Shipping, payments or goods, anything changing lately?
