How would you acquire the first qualified users for a fintech pre-launch?

Hey everyone,

I’m currently building a UK-focused payment intermediary startup focused on improving the experience around international payments, payouts and payment operations for online businesses.

We’re still in pre-launch, validating positioning and building the first lead pipeline before opening access more publicly

At this stage I’m less interested in “mass traffic” and much more focused on finding highly qualified early users that genuinely feel pain with existing solutions like PayPal, Stripe or traditional banking rails.

For those who have built or scaled fintech/payment products before:

Where did you find your first truly qualified leads/users?

Would genuinely appreciate any insight from people who’ve been through this stage.
