Guys, it's almost the end of the season for us. What an amazing great season we had in the beginning, those run chases, few funny catch drops, insane batting by Prabharyan. Don't know what will happen on Saturday and Sunday, but I do believe in Pointing and Iyer, they will definitely come up with some good plans next season.
3 PBKS are in the top 8 highest boundaries conceded. Not to forget we had a washed out game so basically, PBKS bowling performance in 12 matches.
Guys, can we believe it we conceded 200 runs in 9 out of 12 games. The other 3 games were against MI(195), GT and GT chased 163 runs. Why did PBKS management not sack the bowling coach mid season? Just put bowling machines instead of howlers, I guess we would get better results. They brought Xavier and Dwarshus for Indian conditions. Vhyshak didn't play a single game in Dharamshala. Arshdeep has conceded 489 runs till now. Lowest wicket taken in the tournament. This might be the worse bowling performance in the history of IPL.
Just look at this image. We were the only team to score the highest runs against the GT bowling lineup despite scoring 50-5 in 10 overs and also no use of the impact player in batting. The reason we are losing games is due to the absence of a good 6th bowler who can actually ball and take wickets. Our batting is good enough to at least score 150-160 even on worse days, we just need good bowling from our bowlers. We couldn't defend 11 runs against GT in the last over. We couldn't defend 222 runs against RR, we couldn't defend 206 runs when DC were 70-4. Bowlers are not able to make pressure and take wickets.
After the first 3 overs itself, I knew PBKS will lose. It's not because I don't believe in my team, but Gujrat Titans has a very simple formula, win the toss, bowl first which they got exactly like. The pitch curator has prepared a very pace friendly pitch knowing that Gujrat cannot go head to head with PBKS in a neutral pitch. Guys don't lose hope, after our first 7 games, everyone thought our middle order was bad, only top order carrying. Look at our middle order, we were 50-5 in 10 overs and we ended up 163 in 20 over. That's some superb recovery, bowling was good too except Bartlett, fielding needs to be better tho. We need Shasank back, Wadhera out and Sedge In. Don't lose hope guys, SRH, GT and RR have played a game more than us, still we are at the top. We will come back.
