Dilwale(2015) was a FLOP!!!

Dilwale(2015) was a FLOP!!!

The film Dilwale was a Flop at the box office.

Budget of the film was 165cr

India Nett - 137cr

If the verdict is given based on Budget then the film is a Flop here itself.

The theatrical rights of Dilwale in India was sold at 130cr, which means the film to enter safe zone should have minted 260cr nett but the film went on to make just 140cr nett which is 70cr share for distributors and a loss of 60cr for distributors( 130cr - 70cr = 60cr )

When the film Flopped srk had to return 25cr to distributors to reimburse the losses and said to bear the rest losses.

His strong PR forced/bribed all the box office sites like BOI, Sacnilk, BH etc to give a Semi Hit verdict while it deserved Flop verdict.

Real Verdict - FLOP

SULTAN(2016) was a Record Opener!!!

The previous Record opener till 2016 was Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015) which minted 39.32cr nett( Hindi ) and 40.35cr nett( all languages ).

Trade Analyst like Komal Nahta after having convo with all trade people in india gave estimates of 43cr nett at the end of the day.

Trade Analyst like him never gives such a huge estimates back in 2016 without any tracking.

Even BOI gave a report that 40cr nett was minimum on day 1 and the way it took solid start in morning even 45cr nett was not written off.

The film had Record Breaking Advance of 25cr.

But YRF suddenly out of nowhere underreported the collections at 36.54cr nett and gave it just a Bumper Opener.

The reason was Salman opted to 50% Profit Sharing and YRF daily underreported the collections to save it to himself as much as possible.

At the end of the run Salman charged 100cr as his fees and he was the first Indian Actor to do so.

Sultan according to underreported numbers of YRF took opening of 71cr ww but if we add the actual Record Opening numbers it took 80cr ww opening on day 1 back in 2016!!! ( which is around 140cr(+/-) in today's rate )

YRF has betrayed Salman not once but thrice!!

The same shit yrf did all the corporate and block bookings, inflation just to cross the 50cr nett mark on day 1, 100cr+ ww day 1 and 1000cr ww for a Shitass film like Pathaan 🤡.

Highest Record Week 1 Holders of 1990 - 1999.

The list shows the highest week 1 record holders of 1990 - 1999

One more record prooving why Salman Khan was the biggest star of 90s decade.

Saajan - 1st lead, he was coming back after 4/5 continuous hits. Director Lawrence D Souza of Saajan said in an interview that it was Salman Khan and Nadeem Shravan Music Album that led to the success of the film. Even on posters it was Salman - Madhuri - Sanjay Dutt. It was a Blockbuster and HGOTY.

Often people(his haters) credit Sanjay dutt, but his craze started in 93 with Khalnayak after when he came out after getting bail.

Karan Arjun - 1st lead, he was coming back after humongous hit HAHK, he was already established star. The film was sold as Salman Khan film in Tier 2, 3 and Rural areas( all the mass belts ). Director Rakesh Roshan in an interview said it was Screenplay, Songs and Salman Khan Stardom that led to success of the film. It was Srk's first 2cr+ footfalls film while Salman already had 3 and it was his 4th 2cr+ footfalls film. This is more than enough to say why the major credit belongs to Salman Khan. It was a Blockbuster.

Biwi No.1 - 1st lead, it was a Record Opener even during Cricket World Cup. Anil Kapoor signed the film only after knowing that he was going to play a secondary role to Salman. It was a Super Hit.

HSSH - The Return of Salman x Sooraj x Rajshri combo.

Other than Salman among actors nobody was a huge crowd puller. Saif was struggling those days. It was a Bumper Opener. And Salman was already having a great year with 2 Hits and this turned out to be a Blockbuster and HGOTY.

Trimurti( equal multistarrer with Anil, Jackie and Srk )and Koyla were FLOPs, already said abt Karan Arjun.

This post is made for those people who think and have the misbelief that srk was top in 90s but the facts n number clearly says it isn't.
