"The Odyssey" has made me realize Jorge is a fucking genius

Spoiler Warning for Christipher Nolans "The Odyssey"

Just got back from watching and this movie is ok, but overall a disappointment.

My major problems are:

Zendaya is barley a side character. Why have someone that talented have such a minor role, her existence adds nothing to the movie.

The monster designs are horrible and when their on screen their non existent. I swear to you that they had Polyphemus as this deformed creature, that is intelligent, but for some reason the only thing he can do is eat and sleep.

The Wing bag hello, Aeolus not being in it ok, there not that necessary, but not including jt is crazy.

Arent there not supposed to be 600 men? It barly feel like there 100.

Where's the baby Odyssey has to kill?

Where's the "Nobody" scene?

Not at one point in this movie have I felt Odysseus to be clever or cunning.

The "Odyssey" part is so rushed for no reason. First, fuck the Lotus eaters I guess. Second, Circle for a big character is just so underwhelming, she's reduced to this bitter old women.

My favorite part of this movie was the part where they talk to the dead, it was really creative and I like it. My one grip with it is that the setting sucks, I wasnt expecting "Dantes Infero's" underworld but Jesus, do more then a black floor and gray skys.

It has to much of modern tropes aspect and at many point I feel like Nolan forget this is supposed to be an ancient setting.

Penelope was the saving grace of this movie, I loved Ann Hathaways profomance, I really felt her tiredness of all her responsibilities and her longing to be with Odysseus. Also, the Trojan horse scene was done very well.

5/10 Christipher Nolan really disappointed me, I loved "The Dark Knight Rises"

Invincible War Sucks

OMG, this felt so rushed. This was just one of those episode where I had to turn my brain off. And the worst part is this could have been a better episode then the Conwuest fight, if they put in any effort.

First issue:

Why not spent the first 20 or 10 minutes giving a 1 minute or 30 second introduction to every Mark, instead of skipping to a bunch of irrelevant fights. For example, "Omni Mark, from a dimension where he had gotten the best of Omniman" or "Prisoner Mark, from a dimension where he was taken to a Viltimite Prison after Omniman got tired of waiting for him powers to surface." See how easy that is, you dont give away to much and you give me a reason to care about and get me curious about these Invincible's.

Second Issue:

There is at no point where I feel like Earth is in any real danger. These Marks seemed so much weaker then they had to be, there is no reason that side character heros to be anle to remotely standing up to them, nevermind actually killing them.

Third Issue:

The way they killed every Invincible was so underwhelming. Im so mad that we git to see none of the Invincible actually be defeated, your telling me, you show Marks taunting heros for 10 minutes, but we dont get to see Cecil and Donald fight a Mark or Tech Jacket Fight a Mark. Even when Invincible fought a Mark, it felt like he was holding back and no one was taking the fight seriously. Why did they not animate Rex's explosion better, if its budget just have a closeup shot of Rex onlitering Mark like the blast is highly concentrated and not show the environmental damage, or have Rex kill him and the explanation to basically a nuke. The way they did it felt so trolly, like I expected that Mark just to fly up from the explosion.

Forth Issue:

It was so short, for something that supposed to be a War, it felt like it was over very fast. This should have been at least 2 to 3 episodes, if they wanted it to leave that impact. That Titan, Future Immortal episode was not so need that this couldn't have come earlier. My opinion do the War right after Mark and Cecil have there falling out. To show how Cecil is right to have so many contingency and show how lucky they are to have there Mark.

Fifth Episode:

Stop wasting your budget on bullshit, you did not need the famous voice actors you did, save that budget for the animation. I get Mappa has basically slaves, but theres no reason they should be doing so much better then you, when you have 10 times the budget in some instances.

Vengeance Saga felt so rushed

I love epic the musical, but the Vegeance Saga just sticks out like a sore thumb.

Im not sorry for loving you:

Pretty good song, but I felt if could have been better if I actually go more of Odysseus and Calypsos relationship, Ive seen Calypso do nothing remotely good for Odysseus for him to say "He loves her." I feel like Calypso should have had her own Saga, especially if 7 years have passed. It didnt feel like that in the slightest. It kind of felt like when they went from the Cersi Saga to the Underworld, a year was supposed to have passed but it definitely didnt feel like that.

Dangerous:

Holy Montage. Im glad Hermes came back, love him, but oh my God was this rushed. He left Calypsos island is is supposed to be doing a mountain of task on his way home, but it doesn't really feel at any point like he's in any danger, Hermes is right escorting him.

Charybdis:

Didn't he make a raft by hand, there is no way a worlpool doesnt destroy that thing, would this not have been the time to use the windbag. They established that Posiden is scared to go in this region of the Ocean, would this not have been the perfect time to get rid of him, like Odysseus tricking him into being eaten by Charybdis and Odysseus gets away while Posiden is busy with him. It would make a million times more sense then Odysseus beating him.

Get in the water/600 strikes:

Ok, did Jorge just not know how to deal with this Posiden plot, this seems so lazy. Odysseus gets a power of friendship powerup and stabs Posiden a few times. Honestly if this was like God Games and Odysseus just had to convince Posiden why he should be pardoned, that would be OK. But, the fact the Posiden, one of the Big 3, can be destroyed by a mortal man(Who's not a demigod(wouldnt make it better, just saying), is wild.

Side Tangent:

WHY THE FUCK WAS HADES NOT IN THIS MUSICAL?!!!

Did Jojo forget about the bloodline Curiousity?

Im starting the Jojo manga after watching the show for like the 5th time. Im on part 2 when Joseph fight Straizo. Straizo to my suprise said the same line from the anime "You way act different from Johnathan, but you inherited his curiosity."

That just made me think, does this curiosity aspect of the Joestars ever explicitly show up again?
