ACI Field Tech 1 Rant
Hey all,
I just got done with my masters in civil. Boss sent me to get a bunch of training done right away. One of the things that bugs me about ACI/ASTM is the written exams.
Why in the world do I need memorize schematics and dimensions of my tools? Is that seriously helping my testing qaulity? Also when are we going to get away from short term memorization to pass these kinda of tests?
Nobody remembers this information 2 hours after their tests let alone a month. Its just pointless.
The performance exam I agree with but the written portion just seems unneeded for this certification atleast.
Let me know if anyone else has the same frustration or maybe justification for this use of memorization!
