I use an old Argus Argoflex and have pretty good luck with the camera, as well as the company I buy my film from. I use a local developer, small shop, haven't had issues with them in the past 4 years except that turnaround time is a joke (but this is just a hobby so I suck it up).
I just got my latest round of photos back and 3/4 of the photos came out looking like this. I was really surprised because I've never had this happen. They're saying it's an issue with my camera, but the photos that did come out came out completely clean and crisp and again, I've NEVER had issues with this camera. Initially they were questioning if I was using a new vintage camera; I'm not. They offered to "teach me how to use it correctly" which I did not love.
Wondering if it's a developing issue because they recently had their machine break down and bought a new machine, different type than the last, and made several posts on social media about having to learn the ins and outs. There was also a much longer delay than usual in turnaround time. I've developed at home before (rent now so not doing that atm) and am thinking this looks more like an issue with the chemicals than an issue with an older camera. Any thoughts?
