Sf vs South Bay

I’m a single woman in my mid 30s living near Sunnyvale and working around Dogpatch in SF. My commute is currently about 90 minutes each way, and I’m trying to decide whether moving closer to work would be worth the trade-offs.
The apartments I’ve been looking at around Dogpatch seem to be $5,000+ a month, compared with roughly $3,500 in heart of Sunnyvale. I have a car, but with insurance now over $400 a month, I’d be open to selling it if I moved somewhere I could comfortably get around without one. That could offset some of the higher rent.
Lifestyle-wise, I enjoy Indian and other Asian food, and most of the friends I’ve made over the years are in the South Bay. I’m fairly low-key—not someone who needs to go out every night—but I enjoy occasional comedy shows and other outings.
I’m torn between getting back a significant amount of time and energy versus paying more in rent and moving farther from my existing social circle. I also wonder how much I’d actually take advantage of living in SF.
For people who’ve made a similar move in their 30s, was it worth it? Would you stay in the South Bay, move to SF, or consider a middle-ground location? I’d appreciate neighborhood suggestions that offer a reasonable commute to Dogpatch without $5,000 rent.

Multiple lca/petition

  1. Is it ok for multiple employers to file an lca for you?
  2. Is it ok to have multiple employers to file a petition for you?
  3. If on a grace period, can you work on either of them once it’s approved or does the more recent approval have to transfer from the older one?

Starting job after grace period expires

Is it ok to have a start date on a petition a few weeks after grace period expires? Example June 20th expiry and mid July start date? Is it ok to stay in the country in that period

H1b timeline

My grace period expires June 24th. It might take me 2 weeks to finalize an offer. Would a little under 3 weeks be enough time for a company to file an H1b petition for me?
