Were High Level IJAAS Commanders experienced in Piloting a plane? Who are sone famous ones?
Its kinda Strange that we dont hear about IJAAS Commanders unlike other Air Forces. It seems that The top level were mostly people whose careers were nade directing ground operations in the wider IJA. Upto what level was Pilot training necessary to enter IJAAS? We always hear about IJNAS but not them. (Mostly cuz Kamikazes worked better on Battleships than on land). Are there any famous commanders like Göring/Bomber Harris/Le May/Novikov?(Ie, with actual flight training and not shifted Ground commanders who oversaw the Air Force)
