Hey All - Just seeking some advice / reassurance - myself and my partner are quite interested in a Barratt Homes plot and have the necessary deposit and meet affordability etc.
My main worry / concern is that the property is due for completion in June / July - we are still renting and with the new renters act we now need to give 2 months notice and no longer a month - that we may have a cross over with rent and mortgage (trying to avoid this) and we have funds that we are waiting to clear in an investment in South Africa - the earliest we can do is End of July.
How common is it to delay mortgage completion due to these? I know normally it's the opposite of wanting to close as soon as but we're seeking a bit of a delay to get funds to cover mortgage + rent + other possible costs
