First week - down 9lbs/4.5kg - hoping for help with chronic illnesses
I’m flabbergasted. Was only expecting to lose 1 or 2 lbs at most and jumped on the weighing scale this morning, looked down and it read 14 stone 3 instead of 15 1 from last week - I thought it was wrong 😂 I’ve heard a lot of people say it’s common to lose water weight in the first few weeks and I do hold on to a lot of water. I am very much looking forward to seeing how week 2 goes. I have two other conditions, endo and Sjögren’s, which tbh is why I started this drug rather than weight loss. I’m hoping for a lot less inflammation and have read so much about mounjaro helping with endometriosis and auto immune conditions. Has anyone else had experience with doing mounjaro privately and then the NHS using it as a treatment for your chronic illnesses instead of traditional medication? For instance I’m on the waitlist to have another endo surgery (2nd) and I’m on hydroxychloroquine for Sjögren’s. All of my doctors have recommended Mounjaro to try as a treatment for both (as in, there will be no harm, give it a go) but I don’t yet fit into any NHS criteria to get it on the NHS.
