Soliciting designs for a new community banner and icon!

There has been some concerns brought up about the current banner and icon that I got from AI and so I wanted to seek out any graphic designers who would like to create a banner and/or icon for our community!

The **recommended** upload size for banner images is 4,000x128 pixels. For custom subreddit icons, the recommended size is 256x256 pixels.

I have allowed image comments/posts, so when you have a submission, you can simply place it here, and I'll make this a megathread.

Flexible on timing, but let's try to have all submissions for those interested by Aug 31st?

DM me with questions!

Updates, Resources, Guidelines, Icon, and more!

Alrighty,

You may or may not have noticed that there have been lots of updates to this subreddit over the last 48hrs. I have updated our Banner and Icon - Yes, It's AI, I'm not a graphic designer; I'm an OT.

I have also updated a few smaller sections of our page like the description, new member welcome, and flair.

At the top of the page I have pinned a few different events, resources, research items you can check out - The goal is to update the top page regularly with various events/topics that are coming up.

And finally, on the right side bar I have added "buttons" which links various resources from the Spina Bifida Association, clinical guidelines, and bowel management website. If you have suggestions for other big resources please let me know.

I'll continue to make changes, but carry on.

Update: Flair and community events

In light of a recent community conversation regarding newly pregnant parents seeking information/advice/information on Spina bifida I have created a flair "newly pregnant parent" that can hopefully begin to help with sorting these posts and give a "trigger" warming to those browsing through various topics.

We also want to start making a push to highlight community events that are happening all over the U.S. or other areas. Once vetted, they'll be pinned to the top of the page until the event is over - so post any event you may be aware of, and we'll check it out and pin it.

Let us know if you have other ideas or thoughts to continue making us a more connected and informed community!

Community Education Event:

I wanted to share this with our community in hopes people can try and attend this opportunity if they live in the SE U.S.

I'd like to find more of these opportunities and share them here to keep our community tuned to various educational resources that exist.

If you come across something similar, please share.

New flair added.

Subreddit Check In:

Hello everyone!

Recently, we've had a little issue with basic human decency, civility, and kindness, so I wanted to take a moment to make a post and remind people of a few things:

1.) This community is a place where everyone should feel free to connect, rant, share experience(s), support one another, etc.. If you read a topic that is not of interest to you - move on. Go to the next post. Any comments bringing someone down, are disrespectful, and/or unnecessary will be deleted, and you'll be muted and/or banned from this group.

On that note- please report any comments that may be derogatory. Please stop reporting comments from people whom you disagree with -That's ridiculous.

2.) I'm the only mod in this community, so I go through ebbs and flows of what I am able to keep up with and there are times ( like the last 24hrs.) Where it is a lot. So if you are interested in being a mod and giving back to this community - perhaps even making it better - please DM me.

If you have other suggestions or thoughts about the current state of our community, please comment below.

Thank you!

P.s. u/adaptive_adam I know you are reading this, so please come back. No one wants you gone. You are better than that.
