I've been tracking Funko data across multiple franchises — Kaiju No. 8 just did something none of them have done
Been quietly building a market tracker for Funkos (I’m tired of not knowing if I’m getting a good deal or not…and I’m a data nerd lol) for a few months by pulling Google Trends, eBay data, and YouTube engagement across 25+ Funko franchises. The data has been interesting but mostly predictable.
This week Kaiju No. 8 hit 100/100 on Google Trends search interest. That's the ceiling. First franchise in my dataset to hit it. For context:
- Dragon Ball is at 87/100
- JJK is around 60/100
- Most franchises sit in the 20–40 range
Anyone else been following Kaiju No. 8 collecting? Curious what the community is seeing…
