Snape adopts Harry and has no idea how to parent whatsoever, but does a halfway decent job.
They live in Spinners end, and I think Harry ends up growing up there.
The thing that has stuck in my brain for so damn long is after snape is dead, Harry is talking to hermione and says something along the lines of “He was basically my dad, and I never got to tell him thank you, and he was still a shit. Also I’ve been experimenting with potions and he’d never have believed me.
I’ve been through my read history on Ao3, but I can’t find it in my bookmarks despite almost certainly bookmarking it, it may have been deleted.
Further edits, because the story meant a lot to me at one point and I’m devastated that I either didn’t bookmark or it got deleted;
I believe the story is just their first couple months at spinners end and not much else, and then a timeskip to after the war when snape is dead and that’s it.
