The worst Air Jordan 4s of all time....
Unpopular opinion but the Air Jordan 4 Fire Red 2020 are the worst Air Jordan 4s of all time. This is 2026 and by now I've got this sneaker repaired / restored 3 times in total.
The first time it happened, the Midsole was showing signs of sole separation and color chipping off so I got it repaired from the mainstream Futstep, they charged a bomb and sent it back to me only for me to find out that the paint was of an inferior quality, the re-glueing didn't really hold up.
After a couple of wears, I had to get it re-glued again, this time I found the master at work, he ensured that it was a factory reset for my sneakers but guess what?
Indian weather isn't suitable for Air Maxes and Air Jordans, the bubble tends to expand and that crumbles the sole quite literally. You can actually press it with your fingers and the sole will just fall off like a piece of cake or bread.
I got the entire sole replaced and here's the top reason why this Jordan pair is the worst in terms of quality and durability - the plastic pieces on the upper are now just falling off on their own, they were stitched on the upper panel but they have broken from the stitching line which leaves the bottom part of the plastic inside the uppers while it's hanging loose from the laces. I've spoken to the sneaker specialist and he said that he'd make a custom leather patch replacing the plastic ones.
