Duke Fuqua vs ISB
Hi everyone i have a Duke Fuqua admit this year meaning will be graduating in 2028 while I don’t have an ISB admit i think given my profile i can manage that next year, given the job market and the visa situation and the uncertainty around US visa and situation is it worth considering ISB next year will the brand value and opportunities post ISB be at par to what i get after Fuqua MBA.
Post MBA career: looking to be in consulting OR alternatively in Product Management.
Arguments in favour of ISB:
- No visa hassles, security of being in home country.
- Less tuition and living expenses.
- Structured placement pipeline.
Arguments in favour of Fuqua:
- Change in geography (which will still be one of my goals after ISB)
- Better compensation and better roles (speculation)
- Better brand name (speculation)
Cons of ISB:
- Does not give geography change (but that is somewhat uncertain with Fuqua as well in the long run)
- Uncertain career (same hustle in india tier 1, salaries look high on paper but vanish on ground)
Cons of Fuqua:
- Visa hassles
- Uncertainty of duration in the USA
- No structured placement pipeline
- High fees ( despite some scholarship received)
Can someone who has been in the same boat or maybe made it across shine light on these points or give some insight as to how much these things are true and what can you achieve and what of those two would be the better options.
