I had no real coding experience when I started this project about a year ago. The site pulls articles from over 1000 news sources across 100+ countries, geocodes them to their actual location, and places them on an interactive map. Every article is categorized and updated throughout the day. The entire thing runs on a single server for about one euro per day including API call costs, no ads, no tracking, no paywall. Coverage is expanding constantly.
