THE WORST EVER
Millions of Americans are food insecure. Last night, members of the Bridge Brigade and friends made 1300 sandwiches for ready to go meals. The folks who delivered them report they were taken within minutes. By mothers with little children, including a four year old girl who couldn’t believe she was holding a peach.
Over half of Americans say they can’t afford health care.
ICE is still arresting and killing people - people here with or without legal status.
War with Iran.
And so much more.
But billionaires have tax cuts and Washington, DC is gold plated. Meanwhile, our president and his entire family have made billions of dollars.
Is this the country we want?
We were out this morning reminding people to VOTE!

The vandal in the White House won’t sign a bipartisan bill to help make housing more affordable by preventing institutional investors from buying up single-family homes. How do Chattanoogans feel about that?
EDIT: For those asking, this is a bill with major bipartisan input and support. It's a win for both Republicans and Democrats, a win for buyers and renters. But the President can't stop pouting and posturing long enough to sign it.
We were out on three different bridges yesterday to remind people that there is an election coming on August 6.
In this election, we will choose the Hamilton County Mayor.
Voters will choose either a Democratic primary ballot or a Republican primary ballot to choose who will run in the November election for Governor, US Senate, US House of Representatives, Tennessee Senate, Tennessee House of Representatives, and various local offices such as County Commission, School Board, and various judges and court clerks.
Voter registration deadline for this election is July 7
Absentee ballots must be requested between May 8 and July 27
Early voting is July 17-August 1
