How can I maintain the initial stock orientation in the manufacturing setup but change the wcs orientation and origin (picking the Z axis of the setup takes over the round stock axis despite being in milling mode)

Even better if someone knows how to replicate the automatic cylinder stock generation (as in a best fit circle of known diameter on a selected plane)? This would be useful to sketch stock contours for some operations? Center of mass is not the solution

My current workaround is to have an initial setup with just the stock, so I can use stock from preceeding setup but pick the desired WCS and origin
