Shifting from the Counter Vertuo to Siux Diablo Pro 4, Need help!
So I have been playing for the past 6 months with the Counter Vertuo, but had enough with the arm pain and vibration on my wrist, so decided to switch.
I am a right sided leftie, with more focus on control, but tend to go ahead to play more volleys.
So I played a couple of games with my new Siux Diablo Pro 4, got it on a deal, heard it has a great sweet spot, but tear shaped as I have started going forward a lot more.
But here are a few observations and changes, and need to know how to adopt:
Weight difference: A 20g difference including overgrips on both, so treading on the heavier side. The handle is shorter on the Diablo. I could feel the difference with my backhand maneuvering, was taking me time to adjust, and my backhand volleys always hit the wall, which means I was being very late.
The sweetspot confusion: On volleys and forearm quick interchanges, the racket felt like it was asking me to time better, as anything away from the sweetspot, and I felt like it was not transferring. I believe it has a huge sweetspot, but where do I am to hit it more?
Pros for me was the ease of lobbing, smashing flat volleys, soft touches on the racket felt easy while at the net, even the bandejas went with ease, so the carbon definitely coming to help. And the racket looks gorgeous!
Any Diablo Pro 4 users, What is the effective way to learn this racket? Do I need to change my playing style? I am not a smasher, cuz I dont know how to unfortunately, but happy to learn.
