Okay, so I've wanted to talk about this for the longest time but never really could. I won't mention the author's name, though I'm pretty sure some people might guess because this whole situation has been going on for a WHILE now 💀
So there's this author (again, no names) who has around 6–7k followers on Instagram and has published one book as a paper back recently. This author has been surrounded by controversies and rumors multiple times — especially regarding their gender and dating life with two well-known authors.
The biggest rumor? That this "male author" is actually a woman who has been catfishing the Wattpad community for years. And the thing is, these speculations aren't just random reader theories anymore. A LOT of people genuinely believe the person behind the account is a woman.
Now, there are many reasons people think this, but I'll only mention a few 💀
Most people probably know about the controversy between the two famous author best friends. During all that drama, one of them allegedly sent a voice note of the other friend — the one who was supposedly dating this self-claimed male author. And in that VN, she referred to her "boyfriend" as a girl (I think I still have those VNs somewhere 💀)
If you check the fan pages, you'll notice similarities in the editing styles. Some people think at least 3–4 of those fan pages are secretly run by the author themselves
Once, the author shared a picture of perfumes in their broadcast channel. Later, people noticed the exact same perfumes in a reel posted by one of the fan pages (which is apparently run by a girl) 💀
To prove he was actually a guy, the author once shared a VN in the broadcast. At the time, some people believed it while others thought it sounded AI-generated. But later, through someone else’s broadcast (you know who), people started saying the voice actually belonged to the author's male cousin.
And then the author suddenly deleted the broadcast, unfollowed all the fan pages AND their ex-girlfriend… only to follow her and the fan pages again later 💀
At this point, I genuinely need clarity because I don’t even know who’s lying anymore. Someone please expose the liar 🥺😔
