The Art Mentor, an anti AI youtuber with 29K subscribers, has been tracing other artists' work for his monetized thumbnails. He's also tracing AI images and anime screenshots, using compositing to try hiding what he's doing and pass himself off as an expert.

When a professional artist traces another artists work without crediting its plagiarism. Tracing AI isn't the same but this guy built his audience around anti AI. He's also charging clients and mentee's upwards of $1000.

The original artist of the Mirai Nikki fanart is Shi Xu Jiu Zhou. A screenshot confirms the original work under the artists name on Danbooru. Another screenshot shows where The Art Mentor found it on Pinterest.

He has since taken down the video with the plagiarized thumbnail. Ive saved the video and documented the thumbnails as they were before. The video is full of self contradictory statements given the context that's come to light.

This is a PSA to raise awareness about an art mentor who is tracing another artists work and using them as thumbnail's on monetized videos. The redlines and overlay, and timeline proves the work was traced without credit and used for monetary gain.

It's wrong for anyone to do this, let alone someone who markets themselves as an educator. I also have proof that their corruption goes beyond just tracing.

Art tracing is serious in the community and generally considered plagiarism when one professional steals work from another. Trying to pass it off as their own is a credibility issue.

He makes videos calling out ai for stealing art, when he is deliberately and knowingly choosing to steal at least one other artists work and claim it as his own.
