I'm really proud of myself and want to share
I have CPTSD. I've been working with therapy and meds to try and be more relaxed around people and to try and be more open to connection.
Today, my boss was eating lunch in the break room and I sat at the same table and ate with him. Before the weekend, he mentioned going to baseball games with his sons. I asked him about it. It may seem a small thing, but a year ago, just that thought would have paralyzed me.
I had to psych myself up to sit down, but after that, I didn't even worry. And I didn't ruminate after the conversation was over. It just hit me, hours later, and the slight panic I felt was easy to manage.
That is all.
