Alternative Ending Idea for A New America
So, as known currently A New America has two endings:
Judge good boy ending, in commander mode you just complete the mission by the book and disarm the bomb, after which we can play as a Judge in his apartment, seeing the mysterious man watching him from outside.
Bad ending, when in commander mode as a Judge you detonate the bombs, after which we can see a cutscene of Judge in prison, with the same man visiting him and giving him some sort of offer.
Now, I'm curious to hear what do you think of my idea for the third ending for this mission.
Requirements:
- Play as Judge with Judge's voice.
- Play alone in a multiplayer lobby (Otherwise your SWAT element would stop you from this ending).
- Apprehend all suspects alive.
Now, we have to assume that the flower man is the person in charge of the attack at the city hall. After you put every suspect in handcuffs and interact with the jammer, the flower man won't be afraid of you, but more like glad to see you, since he'd recognize Judge. After that, there would be some sort of dialogue of the flower man trying to convince Judge to rally with MLO. Probably would say sth like "They, above you are restricting you. But only you know, who you really are. Join us, join your people." Then he would offer him the detonator and the player would have to make a choice — Either grab the detonator, explode the city and join MLO, or remain loyal to the LSPD and arrest the flower man instead. Considering that MLO are part of the same program as Judge, and Judge was constantly manipulated by the USIA so I think that he is capable of getting persuaded by the MLO.
Now, if that's not enough I thought of some plot twist too, if the Judge arrests the flower man, he will suddenly change his voice tone to more natural and say something like "Wise choice, Mr. Beaumont." But if the Judge would join the MLO and detonate the city, the flower man could take off his mask and turn out to be some legit, not rogue USIA agent that put Judge to a test of loyalty — Which he failed.
