What happens when u get a M5A1 "Vindicator's" hull and want some firepower? You slap on unmanned turret with a 105x525mm cannon, capable of penetrating 210mm (ik 105mm isnt an ideal caliber but it was suposed to be vehicle from cold war) and featuring 3s autoloader. Also M5A2 "Fortress" features new HVAC Reactive Armour, that can save from projectiles like RPG and HEAT rounds. Besides that, nothing has been changed: 1.10L V12, 630HP, forward 68km/h, reverse 27km/h. Mass increased slightly, to 37.5t

Composite armour on hull is the same as on M5A1 "Vindicator" (Hull upper +500mm pen withstand, Hull lower 400mm pen withstand, CPS - 220mm). Turret also features good specs (easily withstands 350mm of pen, when combined with HVAC Reactive Armour) and has nice survivability

Some composite monster ive made... Welcome M5A1 "Vindicator"! (1/2)

M5A1 "Vindicator" is a 35,6t vechicle, armed with 45x480mm autocannon (3s reload rate/135mm of pen). Its main characteristics are low silouethe, mobility and firepower. Engine in this thing is custom made by Vetta-Herstellung (VH), 1.10L V12, producing around 630HP, allowing this vehicle to achieve max speed of 68km/h forward and 27km/h in reverse.

Now lets talk about elephant in the room. Yes, this thing is solid for its weight. It can withstand straight up abuse. Upper hull plate easily stops 500mm, lower plate does 400mm, side armour CPS (crew protection system) can save from 220mm of pen, but paired with BRAT, its around 250mm. Turret can stop any projectile up to 350mm. Turret is fully unmaned, which adds up to survivability

Thanks to u/True_General_1639 for name sugestion and BRAT armour idea

Some cold war Ukrainian tank based of my drawing, Welcome Object. 891 "Trident"!

Object. 891 "Trident" is an experimental Ukrainian cold war tank, produced in limited numbers to study more on composite armour and ceramic protection. It was produced in Kharkiv, around 1961. Its main characteristics are low silouethe, powerfull 125x610mm smoothbore cannon (250mm of pen), 1.7L V14 engine producing 1465HP, achieving speeds of 65 km/h forward (19 km/h in reverse), infrared reflector, for night combat missions.

(Edited/Added: **500+**mm frontal protection of hull, lower and upper parts, around 380mm at turrets front and about 490mm in cheeks (if looking from the front))

Just noticed i didn't give any armour stats, sorry!

--------------------------------------------------------------

Main cons were: it was heavy (40.5t instead of planned 35t), it doesnt feature autoloader (reload takes up 10s) and due to cramped space (tanks lenght is 6.2m) COM (Centre Of Mass) is forward, which makes tank lean about 1 degree forward

Tank was succesfull experiment, providing wanted knowledge for KhKBM about composite armour and ceramic protection, but it failed as an MBT or even medium tank. Still, 25 were produced but saw limited combat (fought more as a support tanks)

New vechicle for Ukrainian tech-tree, this time with wheels! Welcome BTR-5A "Los'" ("Moose")

BTR-5A "Los' " was designed and made fully in Ukraine by KhKBM, due to need of fast fighting vehicle, that can be turned into an infantrymen carrier or ambulance. Vehicle features dual 35mm autocannon with 1s reload time and 110mm of penetration paired with laser guided rocket launcher "Kalyna-1" (2x on each side). Engine was moved to the front, to save up some space. It can achieve speeds up to 90km/h front and 55km/h backwards (1.15L V12 pushing 647HP). BTR weighs 34.40t (Idk why so heavy) and can transport up to 6 infantrymen. Vehicle was a succesfull and reliable project, that was cheap and sold well around EU countries and others.

A new WWII tank for Two Fictional countires! Welcome LMT "Schildkröte"

Löwenstaat Royal Army was ambitious in creating new tank, this time heavier, more capable of battle. Work started in April 1938. Numerous blueprints were presented, but only one was chosen. "Schildkröte", by Vetta-Herstellung (VH) variant won the voting, weighing only 25t, featuring powerful 1.6L V12 engine also built by "VH", producing 808HP, with 45km/h forward top speed and 10km/h reverse, but whole project was held, due to disagreement on armament, Löwenstaat Royal Army wanted something powerful, while engineers fought that cannon more than 60mm wont fit, or just tear the basket appart due to recoil. Luckily, Jadranska Ljudska Republica (APR) had a solution. They've installed a specially designed 60x565mm cannon, which turned out to be a perfect fit in turret, with good statistics (144mm penetration, -5 degrees depresion/ +20 degrees elevation, 3s reload rate). LMT "Schildkröte" was finished in August of 1938 and went onto a polygon. After quick test, Löwenstaat Royal Army Commander sent over 120 units to APR, as a thank you gift for theyre ultimate solution of mounted cannon.

A new tankette for a fictional country of Löwenstaat, Welcome LT-1 "Mulmertier"

LT-1 "Murmeltiers" history beggins in 1926, when Löwenstaat Royal Army needed some battle capable vechicle. Project was ready in a few months, deals were made with Great Britain to install 2 MG ports with Besa machine guns. But project was held frozen until December of 1929, when old, planned 20x120mm autocannon was replaced by new 25x210mm autocannon (Same as on FRT-1AA) (2s reload, 50mm penetration). Due to changes in armament, LT-1 "Mulmertier" was given an armour upgrade (40mm front and sides, 50mm driver port, 30mm lower side panels). Tankette was mainly used for a training vechicle, but it also saw combat. It has 26.5 degrees elevation and 11 degrees of depression. Due to small silhouette, low fuel consumpcion, and small mass (9.2t only) it was massproduced and even sold to other countries, such as Luxemburg.

Engine stats: 1,05L V8 with 265HP, 40km/h forward speed and 6km/h in reverse

Welcome FRT-1S

Main difference between FRT-1 and FRT-1S, is that FRT-1S is more battle capable. It has mounted 70x395mm cannon, crafted in limited numbers on special request for Löwenstaat Royal Army in May of 1930. Reload rate is very nice, 3s only (6s for hull ammo) and it has 112mm of penetration. Tank has better Survivability as well. Armour was increased. It can withstand 120mm of penetration in hull front, 100mm in driver port and 90-120mm in turrets front, due to mounted additional metal plates. Side armour was increased, from 30mm to 50mm (both lower and under segments) and sideskirts were added. Weight of a tank is now 16.5t. Crew stays the same 3 men, with additional radiomen behind the driver. Tank didn't went into wide production, only 35 of them were created.

Engine specs if someone missed on FRT-1:

- 1.5L V10 engine with 502HP,  55km/h forward and 25km/h in reverse

(Feel free to ask questions/give me tips, critique also welcomed)

Small modification for my tank, welcome FRT-1AA (Anti Air)

In December 1929, Löwenstaat Royal Army tasked engineers with a new task. To create Anti Air self propelled gun, based on FRT-1 chassies, making sure to move turret on center. FRT-1AA was quickly finished. It's turret was moved on center, allowing for a second person to be placed in turret (still possible to fit radiomen behind the driver). 78mm cannon was dumped, replaced by dual 25x210mm autocannon, capable of 50mm penetration, with 2s reload rate each. Due to 78mm cannon being removed, tanks weight decreased, from 12.9t to 12.2t. Fuel ports were moved more to the side, which also made them easier to refill. Tank was a succesfull project.

New tank for a Fictional country, Welcome FRT-1

Theres no lore yet, since i just didnt come up with it yet (maybe ill edit later)

This tank came out on request of Löwenstaat Royal Army at 1929. Country was young, formed right after WWI on June 28, 1919, during treaty of Versailles. Army needed new vechicles and tanks to modernize theyre fleet. They've sent a letter to a local automobile factory, tasked engineers with few goals to achieve:

- to make tank light and reliable

- easy refuel and repairing.

Tank came out of factory, weighing only 12.9t, with 1.5L V10 engine with 502HP. Top speed is 55km/h and 25km/h in reverse. Gun on this tank is a 78x210mm cannon, capable of penetrating 81mm of armour. Crew is only 2 people, 1 turret operator and 1 driver (can be 3 if radioman sits in tight space behind the driver). Reload is only 2s (4.5s - 6s for ammo in hull). Tanks armour isn't much, it can withstand 80mm of pen in lower and upper plate of hull, 50mm in drivers port and turret front. Tank was a massive succes, a great start for a new European country.

(First time I've made some serious Earlywar tank) (If u have any question, feel free to ask)

Something unusual this time, Welcome M-33A1 MZK-1 (Turkey M-33A1)

I've decided to give some lore to my old 20t tank, so here it is

In 70s, US started modernizing theyre tank fleet with something newer. They decided to scrap old M-33A1's but Turkey sent a request to buy 90 of them. They've been used actively in Turkish army, but after few more years, around in 80's, Turkey wanted some new tanks, but didnt want to spend a fortune on them. So, they've developed an armour kit to install on the M-33A1. They've called it MZK-1. This modernization also gave tank a second life, by replacing old 90mm cannon with brand new 105mm cannon that would meet new battle requierments, with 4.5s autoloader mechanism. With some work with engineers, M-33A1 MZK-1 is a solid unit, with 50t of mass, 58km/h forward max speed and 25km/h in reverse (but has terrible acceleration rate that i could'nt fully fix), and solid armour that can withstand 450+mm of penetration in hull and 350+mm in turret. All of that is for an fraction of a price for new Abrams M1A1.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________
I was heavily inspired by real armour kits from MZK Turret Systems and theyre mod. on M60 called "Rokestan"

American tank (Object. 496), welcome MBT-496

MBT-496 is basically Object. 496, but with more advanced electronics in cabin and better survivability. US recostructed Object. 496 mainly for dessert battle purpose. Theyve changed sideskirts and frontal armour, as well as added composites on turret(hull can survive 650mm of pen)(turret can survive 550+mm of pen). It features additional TROPHY APS (3x on each side) and smoke grenade launcher. Now its more capable for theyre requierments, weight is now 63t while speed is 66.5km/h. Same 130mm smoothbore cannon, so not much has been changed.

Object. 496 "Saint Matthew" during the "Pomsta" operation

I've decided to give it some additional armoured plates mounted on the mesh and custom-made camuflage called "Bolotka-1". Object. 496 was converted from training vechicle into combat ready tank, and sent on operation "Pomsta".

Welcome new (experimental) Ukrainian tank, Object. 496

I was kinda out of ideas today and tought about making something new.

Object. 496 is an experimental tank that was designed and constructed in Kharkiv with American specialists under the code name of "Saint Matthew". It's a 62t tank, thats main purpose is to protect the crew at all cost. To achieve that, it was given powerful engine that was moved in front. It manages to achieve speed up to 66,5km/h and 35km/h in reverse. Tank was also featured with numerous blow-out panels, improved softkill APS "Synevyr +", 2x Trophy APS and 26x "Zaslon" APS. Gun on Object. 496 is 130mm smoothbore cannon without autoloader (10s reload time, 270mm of pen). Tank can withstand 500mm penetration in hull (lower and upper) and turret. Object. 496 was a succesfull tank but only 5 were ever built due to lack of interest, dufficulty in production (due to engine bay being in front and driver in the middle) and funding. 1 of them went into US, while others were used as a training vehicles.

Welcome last mod of my Ukrainian light amphibious tanks series, PMP-2BM (Boyova Modernizaciya) "Poplavok" ("Float", that red ball above the water when you are fishing)

PMP-2BM is an ultimate machine. It got everything to support infantry, survive heavy attacks and fight back. It features paired dual cannons, one from PMP-2 57mm autocannon and 70mm autocannon taken from PMP-3 "Skat", both featuring an autoloader (1.75s reload rate for 57mm and 1.5s reload rate for 70mm). PMP-2BM has gained armour as well. It can protect up to 300mm of hull penetration, from APDS rounds or APFSDS (can survive more pen if its HEAT round). Turret is now better protected from projectiles and HEAT rounds. If "Zaslon" APS wont react with projectile, composite screens can withstand up to 330mm of HEAT penetration. Overall, this tank is still light, 21t only, while keeping same maneuverability as before. Its speed stays the same 65km/h while water speed increased slightly (now 15km/h in water due to better floating mechanism). PMP-2BM is an ultimate machine that went in wide production and saw service around the whole world.

Welcome new Ukrainian light amphibious tank, PMP-3 "Skat" ("Stingray")

PMP-3 "Skat" is late coldwar production vechicle, featuring more of protection features than in predeccesors. It has lower silouethe, better survivability, softkill APS and more. Mass of the vechicle went up to 20t, speed is the same 65km/h (11km/h in water now). For protection, it features KERa screens, anti-cumulative mesh, rubber sideskirts and two new types of APS, Synevyr-1 (simmilar to Shtora-1) and real Ukrainian APS called "Zaslon APS" (two on hull, two on turret). PMP-3 also features brand new 70mm turret, with small autoloader (1.5s reload rate) and lenghtened bed for supplies. It can survive up to 300mm of penetration (hull) or 250mm penetration of HEAT round (wont do much against something more solid). Overall PMP-3 is very succesfull project that went into wide production

u/Cheaptrickx — 29 days ago

New modification of my Ukrainian cold war amphibious light tank, Welcome PMP-2 "Okun' " ("Perch")

PMP-2 "Okun' " is a deep modification of PMP-1 "Zhaba", made to achieve higher survivability and combat capability. To achieve that, PMP-2 features better floating mechanism, additional armour that can withstand up to 220mm of HEAT round (wont do much against anything non-cumulative, but can protect up to 100mm from AP and etc.), rubber sideskirts, anti-cumulative mesh on back of a turret and mounted infrared reflector, for a night combat operations. It gained some mass, now it weighs 18.4t, speed remains the same 65kmh/h (10km/h in water). 57mm cannon got reworked a little bit, its reload went from 3 seconds to around 2.5(autoloader mod. soon). Penetration isn't much, around 86mm. Tank is overall great light amphibious platform, PMP-2 "Okun' " was especially a very succesfull project.

PMPP-1 "Rak" ("Crawfish"), enginnering modification to a PMP-1

Full name: (Plavucha Mashyna Pidtrymky Pihoty) (Swimming Machine of Infantry Support). PMPP-1 "Rak" was designed solely as a amphibious light tank, but in the process engineers added a crane, so it can help load ammo and equpment for other tanks and itself. Though, plans about aphibious light tank were more ambitious, PMPP-1 was the first one to be built and field tested (production was limited to 19 tanks, due to lack of funding and interest in a vechicle). It weighs around 17.4t (due to crane) and achieves speed up to 65km/h on land (10km/h max. in water).
