Light bleedings after Kyleena IUD removal
Up until the age of 19 (now 27 years old), I always had heavy bleedings. Enough to bleed through a pad during the night.
I ended up taking an IUD for 8 years, during which I had no bleedings at all (only brown discharge maybe once every 2 years) and got it removed in October 2025.
After IUD removal, I had no bleeding at all. And my first period would show up about 60 days past removal. The period was oddly light, with only 2/3 days of flow, but I thought that my body was just still adjusting.
The next period came 55 days later. Bleeding was even lighter than the previous. And the pad stays nearly clean during the night.
Followed by 36 days, 36 days, and most recent 37 days.
But every single period my blood flow seems to be lighter than the previous. My most recent period started on 24MAY. I only had 1 day of light flow and on 25MAY, the flow completely stopped. Pad stayed clean during the day and night. Even when wiping, nothing.
I'm worried about the lack of flow and the super light bleedings I'm experiencing since the removal of the IUD. Now 7 months past IUD removal and instead of seeing improvement, it feels like it's going backwards.
Should I be concerned? Does anyone have a similar experience? Thank you for sharing
