Any guidance on what CS roles would fit an ex-Detective?
I’ve been in the Police for the last 6 years or so, temporarily promoted to a Detective Sergeant role for the last year. Due to factors I won’t go into I think I’ve given everything I can to the job and would like to look elsewhere and have been considering Civil Service.
I have a bachelors and Masters degree in Politics and IR so wouldn’t need to fully rely on Police work experience.
I have the classic “institutionalised” fear in that, whilst the Police has certainly became far more “corporate” in recent years, seeing job descriptions and knowing what recruiters would see me as suited for is difficult.
I wondered if anyone knew of any ex-police in their departments, what department is that and how they found it?
I have experience managing/supervising Detective’s workloads, managing my own, juggling multiple jobs and decision making under pressure.
