23M needs guidance based on body!
Hi all, I’m 22M will be 23 in a month,
- Currently I’m doing an Software Development internship which pays around 15k monthly, there’s a high chance that they convert me to full time if that happens, will be earning 40k something monthly (first salary credit of FTE will be in August)
- I have one LIC my father took that policy so I’m not quite informed about all of it.
Don’t know too many things about insurance
Emergency fund: Have 70k INR in my account remaining throughout my engineering that my father gave me to use for all engineering expenses - Don’t have any loans but it’s highly possible that my parents ask me to buy a home in 2-3 years in Pune(don’t know what tier pune falls in)
Also I’m not very fond of bikes and cars but I don’t have any of them not even one car in family though one scooty at home town might consider buying bike and car in future as essentials (just a dream)
I don’t think my parents will ever be financially dependent on me and I’m not yet married so no one financially dependent on me but maybe in 4-5 years if I marry then I believe burden will grow along with income too but that’s the thought for future.
My parents own a good big 2 bhk house in hometown and don’t how much is that area but on basis of what I know I’m sharing my parents would probably never be dependent on me but any health emergency might take that away
My parents are 52 and 49 right now. - Currently I’m living paycheque to paycheque maybe spending 2-3 more than what I’m earning tho no unnecessary spending just basic amenities
I live with friends in a shared flat rn rent bills and mess charges round up to 14-15k and sometimes go to watch movies, and hometown visits too so it all rounds up to 17-18k.
I need to learn about investments and becoming financially independent and retire early if possible maybe before my 40s I don’t know if it’s achievable or not but that’s what I need guidance for.
I believe I’ve followed all guidelines for this post so I’m genuinely looking for guidance to achieve my goal anything and everything is appreciated
Thanks in advance 🫡
