Can an unreliable narrator still be able to make valuable and thought provoking story?

I’d like to start analysing books in a deeper level, Though i have a small dilemma on whether books that are meant to mislead you are great at teaching lessons (the likes of a fairytale) or are too difficult/unrewarding to extract as a result.

What i’m asking for is personal experience that proves this to be a worthwhile endeavour, or otherwise.

If this is an amateurish question with a clear answer, i apologise, i’m still learning how to make sense of everything, thinking for myself being a main reason for this question in particular.

Thank you.

Definitive version of Lolita?

I’m interested in this book, I’d like to have a copy that will help me comprehend as much as possible.

From what i’m aware of the text contains foreign sentences and a bunch of references i won’t grasp, if there’s a version that goes out of its way to clear all that up i’d really appreciate someone here to point me towards it, if there isn’t one worth mentioning, may i be pointed towards a version that you guys recommend?
I appreciate it lots.

I found this really cute video, I’d love to find out where it’s from but I really don’t know where to start looking for such a thing.

May someone be kind enough to find its origin, or direct me somewhere where I could look for it myself?

Many thanks!
