Rant: Training Disrupted, Thanks Melanoma

Apologies if I chose the wrong flair, it’s my first time posting here. I’m in the middle of training for another half and I found out a mole I had removed has a “high likelihood” for melanoma. Doctors are going to do another removal and perform additional pathology to make sure it hasn’t spread. I can’t run for two weeks. My half is on 6/27 and my last long run was 10.10 mi/16.25 km on 5/30. I don’t know if I should cancel my registration ($88, it’s a super local race), if the two weeks off will be a good thing, or what to do. I’m so annoyed about everything and a little scared. Has anyone here dealt with a similar situation? Am I being dumb for being annoyed?
