I converted from matte to gloss..
Tried the Asus PG32UCDP to replace my long time ips monitors and dunno if the oled has a stronger matte surface but the "film" felt more pronounced when viewing whites. So I tried the XG32UCWMG and am soooo glad I did.
Now I get what they mean by having images "pop." Even regular ass menus with black backgrounds and dark mode on Twitch feel better. Having almost no motion blur I think reduced eye strain.
The reflections I was so nervous about are a non-issue. They are dimmed, similar to the Galaxy 26 ultra phone's anti reflective glass if anyone has one. Just took a quick Pic of both oled monitors in a medium lit room to compare some reflections on the table. So, don't think I'll ever go back to matte.
