Greene King Pubs MC Policy
I just spotted this information on Greene King Pubs' FAQ page on their website. Surely this blanket policy is illegal right? I'm not expecting to be able to medicate inside but to say you're not even allowed to being your medication on site is shocking.
I've not had issues medicating in their gardens before, but even if the policy isn't enforced in practice, this written policy gives staff a reason to feel they can discriminate if they want to. No mention of other controlled prescription drugs like class As of course.
Update: I've sent them a long email including many of the points raised here, highlighting that this policy facilitates systematic discrimination and referencing relevant sections of the Equality Act. I'll let you all know the response.
