*Fixed* PC crashing after Update 1.7 - Exception: Access violation. Illegal Write
Exception: Access violation. Illegal write by 0x7ff7cc09e9ef at 0x0
Hello I don't know if anyone else has been getting this issue since the 1.7 update but since it's been released I was getting these crash reports after playing between 10-30 minutes of Arma Reforger. I've seen this issue pop up on other Reddit posts that range between 2 - 5 years ago, but nothing recent has really come up. Just wanted to know if there's anyone else out there that has had this issue or is currently having it.
Now as the title has stated, my issue was fixed before I would post this but essentially I had to
- Verify Game Files
- Unsubscribe all mods in-game then close the game completely.
- Go to 'My Games' folder on your PC --> Delete the Folder
- Restart my/your game and redownload my/your mods
You could alternatively use the 'Run' command and type %Temp%, then look for any Arma Reforger files and delete them too. Restart your PC and load the game, you'll have to redownload all the mods again but a "small" price to pay for getting your stuff working again.
Some other options you can try.
- Take any overclock off the cpu --> You'll need to do this through your Bios by going to your Advanced CPU settings.
- Set max fps to 60 in-game settings (Sucks I know)
- Disable any overlays like: Discord, Steam, Nvidia, or whatever else might offer overlays.

Windows 11
Geforce RTX 4070 TI
Intel Core i7 - 14700K
DDR5 RAM 64GB
Nvidia Graphics Driver Version -> 596.36 (I did hear that newer drivers 'could' be causing issues)
