Down Jacket for Nepal
Hello together,
my girlfriend and I are traveling to Nepal this fall. We’re not quite sure which route we’ll take yet, but our top choices are the Rolwaling Trek (including Yalong Ri and Parchamo Peak) or the Sherpani Col Trek. We basically have all the gear we need, except for a really good down jacket. I’ve decided on the Mountain Equipment Kryos, while my girlfriend is torn between The North Face Pumori and the Mountain Equipment K7. Both jackets are on sale, but the Pumori is significantly cheaper. I’m a bit worried, though, that it might be too cold. Do you have any experience with these jackets on these treks or altitude above 6000m and sleeping in tents? Can you give us a recommendation? Is the Pumori sufficient, or should we definitely go for the other one?
