I've decided to pursue my driving lessons (finally!), but I'm massively split on learning manual vs automatic. I know the benefits of learning manual, cheaper cars, more variety and better insurance etc, but is the price difference actually that drastic compared to automatic? The idea of an automatic and passing my lessons more comfortably is very appealing, but I'd be somewhat on a budget (the monthly cost to run it, insurance, finance) when it does come around to finally getting my own car. I wouldn't be going that cheap, but if the price difference a month is £££'s, then I'd obviously like to save big chunks of money.
