I’m looking for some practical advice on finding regular ad hoc consultant locum work, WLIs, insourcing lists, or weekend lists.

Current department does not currently have much in the way of regular extra work or WLIs. I’m keen to supplement my income, but I’m finding it difficult to get established with other Trusts, especially as many seem to prioritise internal consultants or already have full bank lists.

I would be grateful for any advice from consultants who have managed to build up regular extra work alongside their NHS post.

I’m not looking to overcommit, but I would like to build up some reliable additional work if possible. Any practical advice would be really appreciated.
