Netherlands Schengen Business Visa Reapplication (VFS Delhi) – Travel Date in 6 days Days, Any Advice?
Looking for advice regarding a Netherlands Schengen Business Visa application from India (VFS Delhi).
My timeline:
- Initial application submitted at VFS mumbai: 12 May 2026
- Visa refused (Justification for the purpose and conditions of the intended stay.
Whether I would leave the Schengen area before the expiry of the visa)
- Passport received back: 28 May 2026
- Reapplied at VFS Delhi with additional supporting documentation: 1 June 2026
Application has been forwarded to the Dutch authorities for processing
Intended travel date: 13 June 2026
This is an employer-sponsored business trip to Amsterdam. In the reapplication, I submitted significantly more documentation, including a detailed business itinerary, employer sponsorship letter, host invitation letter, financial documents, and evidence of ties to India.
I also requested priority consideration at the time of submission due to the time-sensitive nature of the business travel and subsequently sent a polite urgency request after the application was forwarded for processing.
My main questions are:
- Has anyone received a Netherlands Schengen visa decision only a few days before their travel date?
- Is there any legitimate way to request expedited processing once the application has already been forwarded to the Dutch authorities?
- Has anyone had success with an employer or host company reaching out regarding time-sensitive business travel?
- Is there anything else I should be doing at this stage, or is it simply a matter of waiting?
