In the anime tv series "Jujutsu Kaisen," Sukuna when reawakened, says a famous line "Women and children are crawling like maggots, how marvelous! It'll be a massacre!" ... do you think that in the Umamusume verse version of jjk, Sukuna had to specify "Women, UMAS, and children" or nah?
Wondering what the folks specifically on this subreddit think of her, since I've never seen anyone here talk about her much before
A poem for Suzuka, in old English (spoken ~1000 years ago)
Hwæt! In heorðsele, hyrde ic spell, mærne mægen-þrym, meotud-cyninges willa ac nu ic singe, soðlice, anre idese, Suzuka haten, sunne beorhtost.
Heo wæs swiðe fæger, swan-rad glidende, leoht on lyfte, leohtre þonne steorra; hire eagum scinan, eastan-dæges gloma, and hyre smiðe-smile, mod min bindeð.
Oft ic geþohte, under nihtes sweg, hu hire nama, on heortan minre, swegle swegde, swiðe gelome, swa swa beadu-horn beorht hlude singeð.
Ne bið me gold ne sinc ne searo-gimmas, ne mead-hall dream, ne mærra cyningas buton ic mote, mid Suzukan wunian, on lif-dagum, lufian butan ende.
Wæs min ferð strong, þa ic hine geseah, ac nu he is swiðor, þurh softe lufe; heo is min beacen, beorht in heortan, wordum unsecgend, ac wlitig and soð.
Suzuka min, swete and wynsum, þu eart min lif, and min leoht scinende; gif wyrd bið milde, weorðe us twam anra ferð, oð ende-tide.
Swa ic secge, and soðlice sweare, þurh eorðan gesceaft and heofones weard: ne mæg me ænig tid, ne deað sylf, from þinre lufe lædan æfre.
(This poem is entirely inspired by the style of the old english epic poem "beowulf." for example, it starts with "Hwæt!" Like in beowulf. Old english is closer to modern germanic languages like icelandic, since at the time english had no romance influence. You may be able to understand some of it because of this, like "ic" meaning "I")
Rough modern english translation:
Listen! In the hall, I heard a tale, of mighty glory and the Maker’s will but now I sing, in truth, of a single woman, named Suzuka, brightest as the sun.
She was very fair, gliding like a swan upon the sea, a light in the air, brighter than the stars; her eyes shone like the glow of dawn, and her gentle smile binds my heart.
Often I have thought, in the sound of night, how her name, within my heart, echoes sweetly again and again, like a bright war-horn boldly singing.
No gold nor treasure nor cunning jewels, nor the joy of mead-halls nor mighty kings, matter to me, unless I may dwell with Suzuka in life, loving without end.
My spirit was strong when I first saw her, but now it is stronger through tender love; she is my beacon, bright in my heart, beyond all words, yet beautiful and true.
My Suzuka, sweet and joyful, you are my life and my shining light; if fate is kind, let it make of us two a single spirit, until the end of time.
So I speak, and truly swear, by the earth’s creation and heaven’s guardian: no time, nor even death itself, shall ever lead me away from your love.
